Victor Guerrero – internationally renowned expert in adhesive and restorative dentistry, recognized worldwide as one of the leading authorities on absolute isolation. International lecturer and educator whose courses and masterclasses have helped thousands of clinicians master advanced rubber dam techniques and achieve more predictable restorative outcomes. His clinical philosophy has influenced contemporary adhesive dentistry through practical, evidence-based isolation protocols taught at leading educational events around the world.
Lecture Topic:
Absolute Isolation – The Art of Saving Teeth
Dr. Victor Guerrero's lecture will focus on absolute isolation as one of the fundamental pillars of modern adhesive, restorative, and minimally invasive dentistry. Rather than viewing rubber dam isolation as a technical step, he presents it as a comprehensive clinical system that improves field control, protects soft tissues, prevents contamination, and significantly increases the predictability of adhesive procedures.
Through practical clinical cases, Dr. Guerrero will demonstrate how absolute isolation facilitates tooth preservation in challenging situations, including subgingival margins, severely compromised teeth, Class II and Class V restorations, and limited clinical access. Special emphasis will be placed on clamp selection, tissue retraction, PTFE techniques, and adapting isolation protocols to different clinical scenarios.
The lecture demonstrates that absolute isolation is not an optional procedure, but the foundation of predictable restorative dentistry, enabling clinicians to achieve superior adhesive performance, restoration quality, and long-term clinical success.

It reviews the properties of glass ceramics, hybrid ceramics, and the latest generations of zirconia, highlighting their clinical indications and adhesive characteristics.
Special emphasis is placed on evidence-based surface pretreatment, adhesive systems, resin cements, and the integration of digital CAD/CAM workflows for minimally invasive and predictable treatment.
Clinical protocols for veneers, inlays/onlays, crowns, bridges, and implant-supported restorations will be discussed, with practical guidelines for selecting materials and adhesive strategies to achieve durable, esthetic, and long-lasting clinical outcomes.
Ice-breaker meeting
Liu Jingjin – internationally recognized expert in anterior esthetic restorations, renowned for his meticulous approach to reproducing natural tooth anatomy and optical characteristics. International lecturer and educator specializing in direct composite restorations and the microarchitecture of anterior teeth.
Lecture Topic:
Microarchitecture of Anterior Teeth
Dr. Liu Jingjin's lecture focuses on the microarchitecture of anterior teeth—the subtle structural, morphological, and optical characteristics that define the natural appearance of esthetic restorations.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the anatomy and optical behavior of natural anterior teeth, including translucency, internal structures, optical density, mamelons, incisal edge morphology, the halo effect, surface texture, perikymata, and microrelief. Dr. Liu will demonstrate how these features can be analyzed and accurately reproduced in direct composite restorations through proper shade selection, composite layering, characterization, and the use of tints.
The lecture will also cover finishing protocols, including contouring, polishing, and microtexturing techniques that allow restorations to blend seamlessly with the natural dentition, achieving highly esthetic and clinically predictable results.
